Celebrating Verdura Salads
We've said it a few times, working at Whole Foods Market was like going through a natural foods boot camp. It really changed the trajectory of both of our careers and influenced who we are as individuals.
One of the best things about having worked there is seeing people we used to work with using that same experience to do their own awesome projects (we're looking at your Lisa Lou). So it was through that same community that we were brought on board by Trevor Griffin to help plan a media and Friends & Family event for his new restaurant on Main and Broadway, Verdura.
We decided to do the exact same event two nights in a row for local media and influencers the first night and for friends and family the next. The idea was to keep it as simple as possible to really let the food and the room be the focus (which was designed by Ply Architecture with all the branding done by Glasfurd and Walker).
We quickly sent out invitations to some of our influencers, bloggers, and media contacts telling them to come check out Verdura's new twist on Italian salads. We're talking fresh greens on grains, roasted cauliflower, lentils, and seasonal veggies. We used to call Broadway and Main Street 'Carb Central' so this place is a welcome change.
The space was designed to evoke a greenhouse and it was a perfect setting for our Italian twist on a Moscow Mule (there's no such thing as too strong of a drink, right?) and Trevor's famous Peanut Butter Protein Balls.
We had such a blast on both nights and we're already planning on what to order next time we're there. Congrats to Trevor and the Verdura team!
