Our 2016 Food Gift Guide

The holidays are almost here which means we get to share some of our favourite things with our clients and partners. Since our specialty is food, it only makes sense that we love to give local and delicious gifts.

Here are our 2016 picks for delicious gifts to impress and our favourite to receive:**

1. Old Joy Gift Baskets

Gorgeous, unique, ethically-sourced, and 'uniquely curated' these are a luxuary to receive and beg to be shared on Instagram.

They'll do the work for you and even deliver it! Curated local and Pacific Northwest gifts to fit the holidays and beyond.

2. Beta5 Street Art Gift Boxes

Beta5 Chocolates are like the Andy Warhol of chocolate- innovative, gorgeous, and totally unique. We love these because they're wrapped in a limited edition signed print from a local artist. Beta5 also does their own spin on the classic holiday chocolates but this gift box is for the hip client who doesn't want to see another gingerbread-flavoured anything.

3. Local Brew Advant Calendar

fdVancouver had really perfected its microbrews in the last few years and these happy and smooth beers can help you get through the holidays with an adult advent calendar. Central City Brewers + Distillers and Parallel 49 Brewing Company have partnered up for our pick of the season.

4. ChocoHappy Handcrafted Chocolates

As Piquant Co-Founder Kristen says 'I just effing love these and I can pack a bunch of them in a stocking because of their packaging.'

5. Nikaido Tea

If you find yourself in Steveston, Nikaido Tea is an absolute must to visit. A homage to the Japanese history of the village, you'll find gorgeous ceramics, elegant stationary, and the most premium and beautiful teas in the sity like 'Summer Harvest-Shizouka' or 'Spring Harvest Green Tea from Uji'.

6. Dips and Spreads for the Gods

We swear that Vancouver has the best dip selection. Yummus Hummus (smoked hummus please!), Spread 'Em (the best dip on anything!) and Habibi's Chocolate Tahini (enough said) is enough to make any holiday meal perfection.

7.  Canadian Cookbooks

We love our Canadian Chef's including the MInimalist Baker, Vij & Meeru, or This Rawsome Vegan Life. Who doesn't love a cookbook? Either to dog-ear the pages to cook every last one or to lazily flip through while snacking on the couch.

Happy Holidays everyone!
